Apparently, Warp Drive Isn’t Easy
I’m in a scifi mood these days, having just come back from StarFest in Denver last weekend and, as if he was reading my mood, a reader pointed me to this article on the possibility of warp drive.
Of course, it doesn’t come as any surprise that we don’t have this capability now, nor are we likely to develop it anytime soon. Still, it’s nice to think about and try to work out the details of the problem. It all boils down to the brick wall known as Special Relativity.

The article provides a brief overview of some of the scientific hurdles and some possible ways they could be overcome. There’s also some cool links to other topics like Interstellar travel.
Thanks Beau, for the tip!
