Astronomy Buff

Hack-o-lingus Marathon

by Tony on January 27th, 2008

Oh my devoted Astronomy Buffs, space fans and appreciaters of the the night sky, this astro blogger has been woefully sick these past days. I have seen all manner of fluids come forth from this fleshy container… but don’t worry, I won’t gross you out with the details.

My synapses are slogging, trying to fire through my gelatinous, mucus ball of a brain, as I write this, I am barely able to maintain a neural net of data as simple as where I left my NyQuil.

Still, I am blogging today. I am writing about the gross details of my excretions. Why?

This is not the sort of stuff I usually write about. It has nothing to do with astronomy and I know you really couldn’t care less about my raw nose or pounding head.

But, I have a contest going on, and I want you to know that I’m alive and watching the results with interest. I’m happy to see my wonderful readers participating. You are why I’m staring sideways at my screen right now, my eyes inches away from the monitor, squinting through puffy eyes and watery eyelids to let you know that I think you’re great.

Thanks for reading my blog, thanks for participating in my contest, and thanks for not running away from my strange NyQuil-induced ramblings.

BTW, Hack-o-lingus is not my term, that comes from the title of one of Julie’s poems, one of my favorites. I hope she doesn’t get mad at my use of it, but for some reason, it describes how I feel perfectly. She is a brilliant poet.
