Physics for Future Presidents
Berkeley has a great site that features podcasts and webcasts of current and past courses taught there. If you are looking for something to expand your mind or to learn something new on your commute or on a long road trip, these podcasts are the way to go.
They have an extensive catalog of courses including subjects from biology, chemistry, philosophy and physics.
Here are some cool ones:
- Physics for Future Presidents. This presents physics on a more conceptual level because we can’t count on a politician having a working knowledge of science and math.
- Introductory Physics. Pretty self explanatory.
- General Biology
- Digital Image Processing
I did some poking around and found Introduction to Solar System Astronomy (you’ll have to copy and paste that url into your RSS feed reader to make sense of that one) at Ohio State University.
I think these podcasts are a great way to keep current on topics that interest you as well as provide a refresher course in something you’ve not studied for a while, or even to learn a new subject from scratch without having to worry about attending classes or paying tuition.
Here is another great site listing even more course podcasts.
