Where Have I Been?
My apologies everyone for not posting for so long. There’ve been some personal developments that I really can’t go into but I wanted to let you know that my posts will be fewer, at least for the short term. I’m trying to juggle a lot of things right now, and I’ve had to prioritize things such that the blog just isn’t getting the attention it deserves.
Things are fine, I’m fine, but once in a while, life piles a bunch of crap on you all at once and you have to deal with it, that’s what I’m doing now. Please hang in there and thanks so much for your patience.
I’m on the lookout for some help during this time to help keep the blog alive, other people who may feel like helping out during this time. If you or anyone you know would like to contribute a post or two, I’d be very grateful and would happily provide some compensation and some attention in the form or link-love.
I’d hate to see this languish with periodic posts if I don’t have to, so please let me know. There’s no way I’m going to get to six posts a week though, not for a while yet…

Tony:
I know relatively nothing about astronomy except that it fascinates me and there’s a sky. I think things orbit, too. Sometimes. :)
But I wanted to put an idea in your head…
Maybe for a few weeks you could put on “A Child’s Question about…” post? I have an almost-five-year-old who’s dying to know more about the universe and it’s properties, and I’m woefully ignorant. It would give your loyal readers a chance to answer so the kids will understand, and give you a break while keeping the traffic flowing.
Just a thought! Glad you’re back. Take care!

Hey, I just wanted to let you know that I viewed your video on discovering Intelligent Design from watching TV.
When you shared the great discovery that “The Universe is brought to you by Hundae” only to discover the nuance that “The Universe is brought to you in part by Coors Lite,” I nearly tripped out, Dude! Do you realize the implication of that combination of “creators”? That’s riiiiight: Someone must have been driving and drinking.

Glad to see you’re back, Tony! Like Angelique, I don’t really know anything about astronomy, either…unless the astronomy tower at Hogwarts counts… :)
Hope you’re hanging in there!

Hi Tony, I have several questions about the universe but i won’t ask them all at once, i was just wondering why the moon doesn’t spin around like the earth and other planets do.

Hi Tony, I know that you’re a busy man! But the day you come back here and on youtube, promise us that you will make another video about the universe! I’ve been waiting for a new one forever now, and I know more people have been!
But ofcourse take your time, but just don’t forget about your community!

Hope everything is well. Missing the blog and your videos. I could help keep the blog alive. More people need blogs like this to learn and experience the night sky. Especially with the International Year of Astronomy coming up. Good Luck Tony!

Tony. Your video on “The Hubble Deep Field: The Most Important Image Ever Taken” was where I first was introduced to you.
Followed your stuff with keen interest since and miss seeing your vids and reading your posts as they were truely inspirational, educational and entertaining.
I too hope all is (or will be) well with you, for like so many others here, your presence, insight and humour are missed. There are many kindered spirits that have been drawn to one place thanks to you.
