Whoops, Unintended Hiatus

As you can see from this picture, I’m now 50 feet tall and command superhuman abilities. (What? Nothing’s gone to my head or anything, I’m still a regular joe, it’s just that I’ve turned into superblogger and people must now bow before me. Other than than, nothing much has changed really.)

It looks like this blog is starting to get noticed as I am starting to get emails from people when I don’t post for a day or so.

Since my adventure last weekend I’ve gotten some attention and, of course, the LAST thing I should do right now is to pause in writing posts. All conventional wisdom says I need to try and hold the attention of as many of my new visitors as possible to increase my readership.

But, we all know how I feel about conventional wisdom, don’t we?

Still, I do share George Orwell’s desire to seem clever and I’m not just writing in the wind here, so I’d love to try and hold onto as many of my new readers as possible, but my life keeps getting in my way.

I learned last Monday that some tenants I’m renting a house to want to move in THIS Monday instead of the end of the month as I thought they would. So, I’m scrambling to get the house ready by then.

I know. Exciting stuff. It’s gotta be done though.

So, it is with paint in my hair, dirt under my fingernails and drywall compound in my pants (don’t ask) that I write this post to let you know I’m almost done and will be posting more this weekend.

I’ve put my new iOptron goto mount through its paces and have lots to report about how good it is. I also have some new posts on buying a telescope and much more on this bat channel, so please stay tuned.

It’s funny how getting a readership changes you. When I thought no one was reading, I had no problems just going away for a couple of days for travel or whatever. Now I feel compelled to tell you every little thing I’m doing, whether you give a crap or not (I know, I wrote ‘crap’, that’s another way I’m changing… Oh man, this may not be good).

Oh all right. Sure is hard to resist, though.

Are you SURE you don’t wanna know what I had for dinner? I mean, I am posting about not posting now, that’s not much better.)
